<text>By Keith Boykin, in <a href="http://www.keithboykin.com/arch/politics/">politics</a>

The news was gruesome and alarming. Reuters reported that at least <a href="http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/KAM628011.htm">30 people</a> were shot yesterday in a deadly gun rampage that rocked a city once known for its <a href="http://www.schoolshistory.org.uk/baghdad.htm">safety</a> and <a href="http://islam.about.com/cs/history/a/aa040703a.htm">scholarship</a>. By now, you&#39;ve heard about the story, and many of us have already stopped paying attention.

But I&#39;m not talking about the deadly school shooting in Virginia Monday morning. I&#39;m talking about the deadly violence in <a href="http://icasualties.org/oif/IraqiDeaths.aspx">Iraq</a> that goes on everyday. While most of the world was understandably horrified by the campus shooting at Virginia Tech yesterday, almost no one paid attention to the 30 people who were <a href="http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/KAM628011.htm">shot and killed</a> in Baghdad on the same day. The shock and horror of watching such dramatic violence in Virginia immediately resonated with Americans. But here&#39;s something else to ponder. What if it happened every day? What if we saw that kind of carnage in our communities every night on the evening news? It sounds far-fetched, but that&#39;s exactly the situation that faces many Iraqis almost every day of the year.

If the shooting in Virginia tells us anything about human society, it should tell us that violence is far too common in the world. It&#39;s not just an American problem or an Iraqi problem, it is a global problem. What kind of world do we live in where young students have virtually unfettered access to sophisticated deadly weapons that can be used to kill their classmates and teachers? And how did we become desensitized to the tens of thousands of civilian casulaties in a war we&#39;re still fighting in Baghdad?

I don&#39;t think it is possible to stop every murder or every killing that takes place in this country or abroad, but I do believe we have a responsibility to promote the conditions for peace.

For all the talk about our Christian values in America, we are an extraordinarily violent society. The FBI reported <a href="http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/05cius/data/table_01.html">1.4 million</a> violent crimes in the U.S. in 2005 and more than 16,000 murders. That&#39;s a drop from the record high figures in the early 1990s but it shows that we are still far too violent.

Through elective wars, capital punishment, gang violence, and media depictions of violence, we demonstrate our collective societal preference for violence as a solution to our problems. I don&#39;t know what motivated the young student in Virginia to shoot up his classmates, and I don&#39;t know what motivates the suicide bombers in Iraq to blow up their neighbors. But I do know that we have a duty to promote peace in this country and abroad.

Imagine the impact that could be made if America lead an international campaign for peace instead of a war on terror. Imagine the goodwill we could generate if we diverted some of the $500 billion we&#39;ve spent on war in recent years so that we could build hospitals, schools, and housing throughout the undeveloped world.

Imagine the difference it might make if our leaders dropped some of the macho rhetoric and talked about service, duty and community responsibility? I know there will be much discussion in the next few days about gun control and mental health counseling and legislation, and I welcome that conversation. But we should also ask ourselves about the world we&#39;ve created and what each of us can do to make it better and more peaceful.

The Virginia shooting was shocking, in part, because it was so unusual. Unlike the Iraqis, we&#39;re not accustomed to seeing such large-scale violence on a regular basis. Or, more precisely, we&#39;re not accustomed to seeing it here in the United States, because clearly we know it&#39;s happening in Iraq. But what if it happened here everyday? That might be the tragic catalyst that would finally inspire us to do something positive and constructive about the violence in our country and the rest of the world.

It would be tempting to point to the shooter in Blacksburg and isolate him as the problem. But the problem and the solution don&#39;t lie outside of us. They answers are within.

By Kellen Henry, Staff Writer

Many students gathered for candlelight vigils and wore ribbons in support of Virginia Tech after the April 16 shooting. While most students did not fear for their lives on campus, they realized such a tragedy could just as easily occur in Morgantown.

Last week, a panel appointed by Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine reported findings on the shooting rampage by student Seung-Hui Cho that killed 32 people in Blacksburg, Va.

The report presented more than 70 recommendations to advise law enforcement, school officials and medical personnel.

They also intended to help other colleges choose proper security solutions for their own campuses.

This week, West Virginia University officials announced a plan to send mass text messages in an emergency. The University will also provide better quality lighting in key pedestrian areas such as sidewalks between the Downtown Library Complex, the Mountainlair, the PRT and residence halls.

The panels&#39; report criticized Virginia Tech&#39;s emergency response plan because it lacked guidelines for a shooter scenario and did not allow police to play a major role in emergency decision making.

"We don&#39;t see that as an issue here at WVU. As the first responders here, it makes sense for us to have an active role," said Chief Bob Roberts of the University Department of Public Safety.

Administrators here began revising its policies in December 2005 to align it with the federal Department of Homeland Security&#39;s National Incident Management System. The University&#39;s new plan will be unveiled in October said Becky Lofstead, executive director of internal communications.

It will include emergency training for students and staff and job action checklists. There is a Web site planned for relaying emergency information, Lofstead said.

At Virginia Tech, police had no means of sending emergency alerts themselves and also failed to warn the administration that a gunman could still be loose on campus.

The initial emergency e-mail and phone alerts to students and staff came too late and were too vague to be effective, the report found.

"Warning the students, faculty and staff might have made a difference," the panel wrote. "So the earlier and clearer the warning, the more chance an individual had of surviving."

With a large student body sprawling between two campuses, WVU sees the dire need to refine its emergency alert system.

The Tech panel advised a multi-level alert, for instance alert sirens that signal students to check texts or e-mails for emergency updates.

The Virginia Tech shootings also reinforced the importance of solid mental health care for students and faculty.

The panel found that university and health officials did not coordinate information and intervene efficiently after concerns surfaced about the shooter.

"No one knew all the information and no one connected all the dots," the report said.

WVU&#39;s Carruth Center for Counseling already tries to communicate information while protecting privacy, said director Catherine Yura. A crisis committee joins counselors with resident life, police and student affairs representatives.

"What we do is discuss situations that come up and try to understand if it is something to be concerned about," Yura said.

With last week&#39;s Virginia Tech shootings still fresh in the minds of many, UNC officials are looking to evaluate residence hall safety as one area of emphasis.

With about 7,700 students living on campus, resident advisers often are the first line of defense in emergencies.

At Va. Tech, Ryan Clark, an RA in West Ambler Johnston Hall, was one of the first of 32 victims killed in last week&#39;s shooting rampage. He was investigating a loud noise when he met the gunman in a hallway.

Kyle Jordan, coordinator for student leadership and programming and a member of the committee responsible for training RAs to deal with emergencies, said that while the training RAs receive is extensive, it deals only with situations within the confines of everyday life.

"We don&#39;t train them to deal with any type of assailant that might have a weapon," Jordan said.

At UNC, RAs are responsible for a section of a residence hall, and they are placed throughout 14 campus communities.

Training is held two weeks before the semester starts, and it includes preparation for emergencies such as fires, medical accidents and sexual assault, among others.

RAs also are instructed how to deal with roommate conflicts and how to approach students who they suspect might be experiencing emotional problems.

"Really, it is a top-down process from the highest administrators living in a building down to the RAs," Jordan said.

"Everybody is a part of crisis management, and we do it very well."

But despite his confidence in those guidelines, Jordan said there has been talk about UNC reviewing safety procedures more.

"There&#39;s no time that we&#39;re going to say our policies are 100 percent," Jordan said.

Kareemah Lewis, a former RA in the Olde Campus Upper Quad Community, said the training she received came in handy.

"We were prepared because we had specific training in that area, in dealing with a crisis - not specifically somebody coming to shoot, but students hurting themselves," she said.

Lewis also said the training informed her of resources that most residents are not aware of, especially how to contact public safety officials directly. But she said there still is room to tweak the training.

"I think we could improve on communication. ... Maybe creating new technology-savvy ways to communicate other than e-mail," she said.

One focus of the training is explaining that RAs should be aware of their surroundings and report anything out of the ordinary.

"I think Virginia Tech was a wake-up call to a lot of RAs that when we do see suspicious people ... to take it more seriously and that unexpected things can happen," said Laura Lilly, an RA in Kenan Community.

Gay Perez, associate director of the Department of Housing and Residential Education, said methods used to respond to emergencies vary.

"Sometimes you might stay in place; sometimes you might evacuate. Housing will take its cues from first responders, police or whoever is in charge," she said.

"Everyone thinks they&#39;re prepared until something like Virginia Tech happens. ... You can only plan so much."

Loren Goble left Randolf Hall at Virginia Tech Monday morning and set out to her next class. But the senior at the Blacksburg, Va. school encountered chaos when she got to Norris Hall.

"I saw someone jump out a window. I heard people screaming. I saw students running," she said.

Goble turned and ran back to Randolf Hall, where she remained in lockdown for the next six hours.

"I was supposed to be in the classroom that the shooting took place in. I usually even get there a little early," Goble said. "My professor was shot in the face. Four students were shot. One was shot three times."

Though there is widespread speculation that one gunman had massacred 32 people, cutting down his victims in two attacks two hours apart before the university could grasp what was happening and warn students, the possibility of a second gunman has not yet been eliminated.

The bloodbath ended with the gunman allegedly committing suicide, bringing the death toll to 33. Monday&#39;s events constituted the deadliest shooting rampage in modern U.S. history.

Much earlier, Brad Shapiro, a junior, headed to breakfast. On his way he passed eight or nine police cars outside of West Ambler Johnston Hall, but he had no idea what had happened.

Neither did freshman Charlotte Savercool when she left Ambler Johnston and walked to her 9 a.m. class.

"I thought it was a normal day," she said.

The day was anything but. On her way out of class, Savercool was met by the usual herd of students. Rather than worrying about the homework they hadn&#39;t done, these students were distressed about something else. They had heard rumors about the morning&#39;s events, but knew little information.

Trying to avoid the chaos, Savercool returned to her classroom. Professors told the students to sit on the floor and stay away from the windows. They would remain there, in lockdown, for the next three hours.

"We were pretty scared," she said. "We couldn&#39;t get in contact with anyone."

Shapiro found himself in a similar situation. He entered his classroom, where his professor told the students to run to an adjcent building, away from the site of the second shooting. They stayed in that classroom for the next few hours.

"My initial reaction was confusion because I didn&#39;t know what was going on," he said. "Now I just feel completely sick. This is Blacksburg, not Compton. Things like this aren&#39;t supposed to happen here."

In another locked-down classroom, Goble comforted people who had seen the shootings. SWAT teams carried in a professor, bleeding from a gunshot wound to his arm. They set him down and hurried away to bring in more hysterical students who had witnessed the rampage.

Goble said she spoke to one student who had built a barricade in a classroom using his own body and the teacher&#39;s desk to keep out the gunman. Walking down the hall when he heard gunshots, the student found refuge in a classroom. The gunman slammed himself against the door trying to get in. With no success he fired several shots through the door. Goble said the student had pieces of the door stuck to his shirt.

The other side of campus was quieter. Kelly Davis, a freshman, returned from her 8 a.m. chemistry lab a little tired. She checked her instant messaging program and saw an away message from a friend who lives in Ambler Johnston. The message said something about a shooting, but Davis disregarded it and went back to bed.

Other students found out what had happened in the following moments. Freshman Sarah Burka said she was getting ready for her 10 a.m. class when she received two e-mails from school officials. One, sent at 9:29 a.m., informed the students there had been a shooting. Another, sent about 20 minutes later, told students of a gunman loose on campus and warned students to stay where they were.

Burka said the e-mail immediately reminded her of last semester when a prisoner escaped from a nearby jail. She thought Monday&#39;s situation would be similar.

"I didn&#39;t expect it to be this bad, and I&#39;m just in shock basically," she said.

Burka said she considered going home to Fairfax, Va., located about four hours away from the university, but decided to stay. She and her friends remained in the dorms for the rest of the day in uncertainty.

It was difficult to detect which tear-stained faces had lost a friend or classmate, Burka said.

"People are generally more sad," she said. "It&#39;s hard to interact."

Chris Barrett, a junior, discovered the buses weren&#39;t running while on his way to class. He had heard of the shooting, but didn&#39;t know its extent.

"I thought it was pretty contained. It wasn&#39;t till later that I found out how big it was," he said.

Another university e-mail sent around 10:30 a.m. canceled class for the rest of Monday and today.

"It&#39;s weird they didn&#39;t cancel class immediately," Barrett said. "That&#39;s why there were still people in the (academic) buildings two hours later."

Apart from the delay, Barrett said he thought the university handled the tragedy well.

Junior Griffin O&#39;Hanlan, who transferred to Virginia Tech after two years at Marquette, also headed back to his apartment after learning the buses weren&#39;t running.

"We turned on the television and soon realized that the gunman had gone to the other side of campus," O&#39;Hanlan said.

O&#39;Hanlan and his friends stayed glued to the television for the next seven hours, fielding calls from loved ones and checking to make sure everyone they knew was safe.

At 10:30 a.m., Laura Gill awoke to a phone call from her dad. She had no idea about what had happened. Gill decided she wasn&#39;t going to spend the day in uncertainty, so she and her sorority sisters started a phone tree. The students called sorority members to make sure everyone was ok.

But first, Gill sent a text message to her roommate Loren Goble - the student locked in a classroom, comforting witnesses.

Gill later received a phone call from Christophe Remington, a friend from home and sophomore in Marquette&#39;s College of Communication. Remington said he found out about the shooting around 11 a.m. through an IM from a friend.

Remington is originally from Arlington, Va. He said about half his graduating high school class went to Virginia Tech.

"I know most of my friends are all right, but there were a few that I couldn&#39;t get a hold of," he said.

As the day went on, the administration released students from the locked-down classrooms. Brad Shapiro left around 12:30 p.m. and was told that one student was dead and 17 were injured. When he returned to his room and turned on the news, Shapiro learned that at least 20 students had died.

"There isn&#39;t generally widespread hysteria," he said. "People are concerned, sad, very upset."

Charlotte Savercool was given permission to leave the lock-downed classroom at 1 p.m. She was told to go back to her dorm - the building where the first shooting occurred - but couldn&#39;t bring herself to stay. She said she planned to spend the night in a friend&#39;s room.

"My room was quiet ... eerie," she said. "I didn&#39;t want to go back."

Goble, however, was still in lockdown. The FBI and police arrived and questioned witnesses. Goble tried to help keep everyone calm. Finally, at 3 p.m. they were released. But her struggles weren&#39;t over.

Goble said just getting to her car in the parking lot was a challenge. Lined with more than 40 ambulances, the street was blocked off. She took the interstate to her boyfriend&#39;s office.

"I felt safe there. It&#39;s off campus," she said.

Goble said she planned on spending the night at her boyfriend&#39;s parent&#39;s house, in the countryside outside of Blacksburg. She wanted to be away from the constant sound of sirens she heard at Virginia Tech.

"It seems crazy because this is such a quiet town. It&#39;s usually so peaceful and happy," she said. "You don&#39;t think this would happen here."

O&#39;Hanlan, the Marquette transfer, said the 25,000-student school isn&#39;t able to have the same level of security as Marquette, such as dorm identification checks and the presence of Public Safety.

"Although I complained about it a lot at Marquette, now I can see the importance of that process," O&#39;Hanlan said. "Something like this would be a lot easier to handle at Marquette than at Virginia Tech, because of the difference in size."

Back on campus, Virginia Tech students said they huddled in front of the TV, waiting for updates. The university told students the victims&#39; names would be released today. Until then, they were left waiting.

After the names are released, the university will hold a 2 p.m. memorial at Cassell Coliseum.

Savercool said she doesn&#39;t think she knows any of the students killed.

"Hopefully that won&#39;t change tomorrow," she said.

The Lord is weeping at the mount
What has happened to his dreams?
He prayed and prayed for a single purpose
That we would live in peace
After generations and generations we have forgotten
That little thing called love
While God chose his Son, one and only begotten
So that we may simply come
Instead we choose to see ourselves
Instead of looking out
Light turns a dark shade of greed
We have turned from love, without a doubt
Taking what isn&#39;t ours, what others need
Lives, money, property and jewels
Like honey to our eyes
We turn from wisdom, and become great fools
While the Lord is weeping at the mount
What happened to what we shared?
Everyday is new, let&#39;s turn around
Let&#39;s show each other extra love and care!

*Every time a murder or robbery happens, we&#39;re throwing stones at Jesus on the cross! Don&#39;t brush this off, because hate, jealousy and anger we hold on to are also forms of throwing stones!

                <text>Jenkins e-mail explains University security

Ken Fowler

Issue date: 4/20/07 Section: News

Though Notre Dame created a task force in 2006 to review crisis plans, the deaths of 33 people at Virginia Tech Monday "will spur even greater review and preparedness," University President Father John Jenkins said in an e-mail to students Thursday.

Though limited in scope, Jenkins&#39; message was the most in-depth explanation of Notre Dame&#39;s security measures since Monday&#39;s shootings.

In the 700-word letter, Jenkins said Notre Dame has procedures in place to respond to natural emergencies as well as acts of violence. The University continues to search for the best ways to communicate with students in the event of a campus crisis.

Jenkins noted the Office of Information Technology&#39;s pilot program to send text messages to all students who provide their cell phone numbers.

University spokesman Don Wycliff said Thursday that Jenkins&#39; letter did not go into more detail about specific response procedures as a safety precaution, so that security details of the plan would not be compromised.

"There had been a sense all during the week that at some point it would be appropriate to address the issues," Wycliff said. "Today seemed appropriate."

Jenkins reaffirmed the University&#39;s desire to have the service fully operational by fall and said officials would encourage students to participate in "this important and innovative communications initiative."

The question of communication is only heightened by the University&#39;s decision in 2006 to de-standardize land telephone lines in dorm rooms.

In an interview with The Observer at the beginning of the school year, Director of Integrated Communications Services at OIT Steven Ellis said only 60 students initially paid a $161 fee to have the dorm phones in their room. Every resident assistant, however, does have a landline, provided free.

In the e-mail, Jenkins expressed confidence that Notre Dame Security/Police&#39;s (NDSP) 28 police officers and 35 additional security personnel could adequately handle major incidents on campus and work with other local emergency responders to control a crisis scene.

"These men and women receive regular training to address a wide variety of emergency situations, and the department maintains a productive and close relationship with all public safety agencies in the area," Jenkins said.

For emergency situations, Jenkins said, the University maintains 48 call boxes throughout campus and keeps telephones in the public areas of each residence hall.

Jenkins did not detail a specific plan of action for NDSP in the event of a major campus incident and did not say what University officials have the authority to declare a lock-down on potions campus or specific buildings.

"Please know that safety is of paramount importance to all of us at Notre Dame," Jenkins said. "While we believe we are ready to respond to a myriad of circumstances, the tragedy at Virginia Tech will spur even greater review and preparedness."

                <text>Wednesday, April 18. 2007

The blog has not been on my mind these past few days. My son is a senior at Virginia Tech. He&#39;s OK. We have spent most of the past two days staying in touch with him and answering phone calls and emails from friends and family.

I watched the coverage knowing he was safe, and saw his freshman dormitory as the site of the first shooting, and his main classroom building as the site of the others. I&#39;ve walked that campus, gone to football games, chanted Hokie chants, been in those buildings, and still I can&#39;t grasp what it must be to be that community.

He called his mom as soon as he knew about the first shootings. He had a class in Norris Hall at 10:30 and planned to be there at 9:30 to work on his senior project. Professor Kevin Granata was their project adviser in the Engineering Science and Mechanics department. Their research is in muscle and reflex response and robotics. Dr. Granata is one of the top biomechanics researchers in the country and is known for his work on movement dynamics in cerebral palsy.

If he had gone in as planned, he would have been exactly at the wrong place at the wrong time. Dr. Granata was one of the thirty in Norris Hall that was killed.

I&#39;ve been on the Tech campus a number of times, gone to a Hokie football game and have a sense of this spirit you hear students and staff talk about on the news. But I don&#39;t think we can understand it in the way that they do.

The students and staff I saw on the news all served Tech well. The professors who were killed all died trying to protect their students in some way. They serve our profession well.

I listened to poet Nikki Giovanni at the Convocation read "<a href="http://americaabroad.tpmcafe.com/blog/oldengoldendecoy/2007/apr/17/nikki_giovanni_we_are_virginia_tech">We Are Virginia Tech</a>" and thought that some listeners must have thought it odd for a poet to talk about "We are Hokies." I would have thought the same before my son started Tech. I associated Hokies with sports, especially football, and the overwhelming volume of fans at the stadium. But it is more than that. When the students chanted "Let&#39;s Go Hokies" or just the word Hokie, that too must have seemed odd, perhaps irreverent, to some given the circumstances. It absolutely was not that.

I work on a college campus and know that it could happen at any school. I have no wise healing words, no poem of my own, no pointing finger of blame or visionary hindsight.

<i>"We are better than we think,
not quite what we want to be.
            We are alive
            to the imagination
            and the possibility
            we will continue
            to invent the future
            through our blood and tears,
            through all this sadness.
            We are the Hokies.
            We will prevail,
            we will prevail.
            We are Virginia Tech."</i>

Issue date: 12/5/07 Section: News

The University of Hawai&#39;i at Mānoa Faculty Senate Committee is scheduled to discuss campus security issues today at 3 p.m. in the Architecture Auditorium. The meeting is open to UH students.

At a Faculty Senate Committee meeting on Nov. 21, the faculty senate unanimously affirmed that the campus community needs to be alerted to threats in a timelier manner while using better methods.

During that meeting, a question arose from the faculty members about the obligation to notify the campus immediately and allow room for people to decide how to react for themselves. There was also concern that an Oct. 25 e-mail alert was too brief, vague and an insufficient way to notify the campus community.

A mass e-mail notification was sent Oct. 25 by Campus Security to UH students and staff regarding a man who was overheard talking to himself about planning to shoot 30 UH students. It was not included in the e-mail that the suspect was known to the Honolulu Police Department and had a history of mental illness.

Laura Saiki-Chaves, vice president of Associated Students of the University of Hawai&#39;i said, "When it comes to alerting students of the possible dangers on campus, we believe that no measure is too small. Though e-mail alerts were sent to students, it was definitely not enough. There were many students who ... had absolutely no idea about the security alert."

"E-mail is useful for those who may be sitting in front of their computer at the time of the incident, but by large is woefully inadequate," said Jerome Comcowich, a committee member from the School of Ocean and Earth Sciences and Technology.

Comcowich said he thought a more effective way to notify the campus would be to have security vehicles use their public address system to broadcast a warning throughout the entire campus.

Gregg Takayama, UH director of communications, said the response would have been more intensive had HPD considered it a serious threat. Enabling the campus-wide PA system would have resulted in major campus disruptions, Takayama added.

Takayama told the committee that had the threat been immediate, the loudspeakers would have been utilized. Radio and TV stations would have been asked to broadcast an emergency message. He also said that many buildings on campus have fire alarm systems that can be enabled to make public announcements.

These systems, however, have not been tested and not all of the fire alarms have been retrofitted to function as PA systems, the committee members were told.

"If we as a nation learned anything about the Virginia Tech shootings (it) is that having an efficient alert system can not and must not be overlooked," Saiki-Chaves said.

UH is currently looking into including mass text messaging as a means of notifying students and faculty of emergencies, Takayama said. Takayama added that Information Technology Services will be testing a mass text-messaging system at the end of this year. If the tests are successful, ITS hopes the system will be available for students to volunteer their cell phone numbers by early next year.

"The idea of sending mass text messages is excellent," Saiki-Chaves said. "A person would not have to be connected to the Internet or checking their e-mail to be notified, as it would happen instantly via their cell phone."

Members present at the student affairs meeting agreed that security should have broadcast the information to the campus community immediately because many people had no knowledge of the threat.

Many people, including Sheri Fong, an assistant professor for anatomy, biochemistry and physiology, have said that had they known sooner, they would have opted to stay away from the campus that afternoon.

"I&#39;m disappointed with UH&#39;s general handling of the situation," said senior Caitlin Jackson, a kinesiology major. "I&#39;m stressed out enough with classes; I shouldn&#39;t have to worry about my safety being compromised."

In contrast, freshman Troy Muenzer said, "UH Campus Security did a perfect job, and I feel safe seeing that they were taking action and communicating with HPD."

Several people said while they were nervous and felt vulnerable being on campus, they went to class anyway. Stacy Little, a senior speech pathology and audiology major, said, "I did know about it, and I still attended class because I guess we live in a world where we think, &#39;It won&#39;t happen to me.&#39;"

Some other recommendations from Faculty Senate Committee members at the last meeting to improve campus security:

    * Set up a campus hot line for emergency situations.

    * Consider creating an automated mass telephone alert system to call all campus numbers during an emergency or a threat. An automated warning would give directions, such as directing people to check their e-mail or a designated Web site.

    * Use the blue campus phone system as an emergency alert system. The blue lights would flash to cue people to check their e-mail or a campus hot line for further information.
